The rule of thumb when under pressure is courtesy, tact, and confidence. Don’t blow your cool; never let yourself be baited into rudeness, anger, impatience, or agreeing with a point of view with which you really disagree. You can acknowledge the interviewer’s point without agreeing (“I understand your point”), and you can politely disagree (“Your point is well taken, although I find that. ”). , in apparent disbelief), don’t feel that you must justify whatever you just said. If your statement is challenged, don’t back down; show confidence in your position without arguing or becoming flustered.
