The Woodlawn Recreation Council coordinates and promotes social and recreation activities for youth, young adult and senior participants in the Woodlawn, Maryland community. Our purpose is to bridge the gap between the business community and citizens in Woodlawn area. Our mission is to create a genuine inclusive community feeling in Woodlawn by bringing awareness and recognition to all community recreational offerings.
Our mission is to provide a portfolio of activities which complimentary to a variety of interest levels.

General Board Meetings are on the 4th Thursday of the month at 6:30pm. All programs and those who are interested are invited to attend. Meetings are held at Woodlawn Community Center, 2120 Gwynn Oak, MD 21207.
Woodlawn Recreation and Parks Council, Inc is exempt from federal income taxes under the Internal Revenue Code (IRC) section 501 (C) (3). Any donors can deduct contributions that they make to WRPC under IRC section 170. Bequests, devises, transfers and/or gifts qualifies as a tax deduction under 2055, 2106 or 2522 under the Code. WRPC is classified as a public charity, which makes them exempt under IRC section 509 (a) (2).
